Web vs Newspaper

Week 1 - Class 1

In our first class, we were given the task to find an article from the 'Dominion post' newspaper, then draw a sketch of it. We then had to do the same for the article on the website. This was helpful as it allowed me to see the main differences between the two mediums and what things were working well and what wasn't. 

The newspaper had so much texts and became quite overwhelming to read, whereas on stuff.co.nz the articles were split up a bit more which made them easier to read. Although on stuff.co.nz the general layout of the site was very cluttered and could be quite confusing as there are so many places to find articles, e.g.. 'most popular and 'editors choice etc.

I found it difficult to find the same article that was in the paper, as there were so many articles about the same thing but with different titles which becomes confusing and frustrating.
